I’m Jayne Hamilton, a digital strategist running real experiments in SEO, paid media, and AI workflows, then writing up what I find. The wins, the failures, the tools, the mindset shifts. Not from theory. From doing.

How I got here

I didn’t come up through a traditional agency path. I started on the tools, building Webflow websites and running SEO audits for small businesses on the side. Then I spent time at a design agency in Queenstown as a client manager, which taught me something most marketers miss: what it actually feels like to be the business owner on the other side of the table.

Now I work inside a digital marketing agency, where I see every day what separates the businesses that grow from the ones that stay invisible. Virtual Jayne is where I share what I’m learning, while I’m still learning it.

Strategy before tactics

The tool doesn’t matter if the thinking isn’t right. I always start with the why before touching the how.

AI amplifies good thinking, not bad

AI makes fast work faster and sloppy work sloppier. The human judgment layer matters more now, not less.

Visibility is a business problem, not a marketing one

When your ideal customers can’t find you, everything else (product, pricing, team) becomes harder. Getting found isn’t optional.
